Andrew Hull, President and Founder of Elixiter, was nominated as a finalist for the Employer of the Year award by the Bozeman Business and Professional Women (BPW) network at the annual award ceremony. The Employer of the Year award has been given since the BPW’s founding in 1930 and recognizes employers who have demonstrated through their policies and actions a commitment to the development and advancement of women in the workplace. “Andrew recognizes the value of women in the workplace and actively encourages us to move forward,” said Wendy Renner, Vice President at Elixiter.

Within his marketing consulting firm, Andrew has established well-delineated paths to success for his employees.  Laying out a clear path for professional advancement, Andrew empowers his employees to drive their own professional achievement, while working in an energetic, supportive, and team-oriented environment.

Andrew founded the company with a clear commitment to advancing women in the workplace. While writing Elixiter’s business plan, he spoke heavily of his interest in creating an atmosphere that welcomes women who may have taken time away from the workplace to raise their families, as well as women who were both seasoned business professionals, and recent college graduates.  Andrew’s first six employees were all women, representing that exact spectrum.

The culture developed and benefits offered at Elixiter very much support women and their needs. Benefits include maternity and paternity leave, employee-sponsored complete healthcare package, and advanced training opportunities. Elixiter’s culture also places a strong emphasis on a healthy work-life balance and the company recently held a company-wide quarterly book discussion on “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” by Sheryl Sandberg.

Andrew was also nominated by several female employees for the Interagency Committee for Change by Women (ICCW) Award of Montana.  The annual ELA was established in 1999 to honor individuals from across Montana for exemplary leadership and achievements, or for outstanding efforts to help women excel in the workplace.
